Event Overview
Join fellow residents, community organizations, and local volunteers for River Cleanup Day, an annual community initiative dedicated to protecting the beauty and health of the Root River. Together, we’ll remove litter, improve riverbanks, and help preserve one of Lanesboro’s most valuable natural resources.

Parking Information
Free parking is available at the Root River Trailhead and nearby public parking areas. Event volunteers should arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time for registration and team assignments.
Weather Policy
The cleanup will take place rain or shine unless severe weather conditions create unsafe working conditions. Any schedule changes or cancellations will be announced on the City’s website and official social media channels.
